Education Risk

Education Risk

The risk that educational material may be erroneous or educational methods inefficient or flawed.

Example:

Choosing an elective course in university. The student is intrigued by the course’s subject matter, and enrolls in order to decide whether it makes sense to commit to a career in the field.

Downside Scenario:

The course is taught by an ill-prepared or inept professor. The student is turned off the subject matter entirely.

Upside Scenario:

The course turns out to be eye-opening and inspiring, leading the student to embark on a successful and rewarding career in the field.
